From early postgraduate training in clinical microbiology in the 1990s to research fellowships in virus-associated cancers, Alex built his scientific career on a strong foundation of research, discipline, and curiosity—qualities that would later underpin his contributions to IVF science, innovation, and laboratory leadership.
